Shot on film and digital, Leona and Liam’s elopement in the Dolomites unfolded in a quiet, poetic way. Their day began at Lake Braies, surrounded by still water and soft light, before moving toward the mountains behind the lake.
We started from Rifugio Auronzo, but heavy fog slowly erased the peaks from view. The landscape changed, becoming more intimate and abstract, until the mountains completely disappeared into the mist. Rather than waiting it out, we descended back into the valley, where the rain followed us and the pace slowed even further.
Despite the unpredictable weather, the atmosphere turned deeply romantic. The fog, the rain, and the muted colors of the Dolomites created a timeless mood, one that allowed emotion to come forward without distraction. A quiet elopement shaped by nature, imperfection, and the beauty of letting the day unfold as it was meant to.
